Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest park and the place where the Victoria Nile forces its way through a gap in the rock only a few metres wide before plunging into the pool below. This three-day trip combines the park's three main experiences.
The savannah north of the river is open grassland and palm-dotted woodland with elephant, giraffe, buffalo, antelope and the park's lions. The boat cruise heads upstream towards the base of the falls, passing hippos, crocodiles and a long list of waterbirds. And at the top of the falls, a short walk takes you to the edge of the gorge where you can feel the force of the water.
Because everything is in one park, there are no long transfers between destinations once you arrive, which makes this a good first taste of Uganda for couples and families. You travel in a 4x4 with a pop-up roof and stay in a mid-range lodge or tented camp.

Yes. It is one of the highlights of the park and a large share of wildlife sightings happen from the boat.
It covers the main activities - a game drive, the cruise and the top of the falls. If you want more game drives or a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way, we can extend it to four days.
