Lake Nakuru is usually a one- or two-night stop on a Rift Valley route, and its accommodation reflects that: comfortable mid-range lodges and tented camps inside or close to the park, plus hotels in Nakuru town. Staying near the park lets you do an afternoon game drive on arrival and an early drive the next morning, which is the best way to see Lake Nakuru's rhino.
