Honeymoons and anniversary trips need a different rhythm from a safari: late breakfasts, long afternoons and one or two things to look forward to. This five-day Zanzibar stay is built that way.
There are only two fixed activities. On day three you spend the morning in Stone Town with a guide, then return to the resort before heading out again at the end of the day for a sunset cruise on a traditional wooden dhow. Everything else is open. If you want to mark the occasion, we can arrange a private beach dinner or a couples' spa treatment through the resort at extra cost.
The package is priced with a luxury beach resort as standard, with mid-range options if you would rather put the budget elsewhere. It pairs well with a few days on safari beforehand - see our guide to combining a safari with Zanzibar.

A guided morning walk through Stone Town's old quarter - its markets, carved doors and trading history. Back at the resort by early afternoon. Later, you head out on a traditional wooden dhow to watch the sun go down over the water, weather permitting.
Another open day. If you have not booked a private beach dinner yet, this is a good evening for it (arranged through the resort at extra cost).
A last free morning, then a private transfer to the airport.

The driest months, roughly June to October and December to February, have the calmest seas and best visibility for snorkelling. The long rains, roughly March to May, bring showers and choppier water but quieter beaches and lower prices.
